The team of #Imagine Kidz are volunteers from all over South Africa that have a passion for children and guiding them to a mature relationship with the Trinity.

Each team member has a specific role that they fulfill on the team. Here is an opportunity to get to know them.

Joan Hanekom | Writer | Grade 1-3

I was trained as a food technologist but always assisted in children's ministry as a volunteer while working at Netcare for the years of 2010-2014. Later, I was employed full time as the children's ministry coordinator in Alberton.

From 2016 I was employed part-time and responsible for the schools' ministry at 'Kerk Sonder Mure (KSM)'. I was responsible for the VSCV at 2 primary schools as well as teaching Bible as subject to Grade 4's. During this time I was invested in the Christian character development of the children.

I served close to 650 children per week. When needed, I also helped with children's ministry, holiday programmes (such as #Imagine Kidz), outreaches and hosting Youth Weeks & was invited to present special children's services in other local churches.

I am also part of the team of WalkthruBible Kidz in South Africa. We train children's ministry leaders in local communities.

I believe that God is hard at work within schools and I am privileged to be a representative that represent KSM at schools throughout the term, and not only on Sundays.
